Peugeot’s stylish 407 has won the 'Family car' category at the British Insurance Car Security Awards (BISCA), hosted by Thatcham, the Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre.
Judges carefully considered the latest 82 new cars against a number of stringent vehicle security and protection criteria, in the fight against car crime. The Peugeot 407 Executive model won the family category for its wide combination of standard security equipment that includes: plip activated remote automatic door and boot locking, driveaway locking activation, engine immobilisation, laminated side windows, deadlocks, ultrasonic alarm, integrated in-car entertainment system, locking wheel nuts for alloy wheels and many other security protection devices.
Peugeot's marketing director, Andy Sutton, commented: "We are delighted that Peugeot has been recognised for its security features in these important awards and specifically for the key family sector. It is our main objective to protect customers with the highest levels of security with the added benefit of having the lowest insurance rates. This award comes straight after Peugeot's 5-star Euro NCAP rating for the new 1007 - the highest points-scoring car ever tested."
