Officially today the new Peugeot 308 goes on sale priced from £14,495 for the entry level 1.2 VTI 82 5-speed ‘Access’ petrol model. Prices rise to £24,045 for the 2.0 BlueHDi 150 6-speed ‘Feline’ model.
Built on Peugeot’s Efficient Modular Platform 2 (EMP2) the 308 is focused on efficiency with a weight saving of around 140 kg over the outgoing car. This has seen dividends in performance, lower CO2 emissions and fuel savings.
Models can be selected that are capable of 91.1 mpg on the official NEDC combined cycle and their options that can see CO2 emissions as low as 82 g/km.
