Ahead of its official launch date of the 18th July the Peugeot 2008 is now available to order with prices starting from £12,995 for the entry-level model.
The Peugeot 2008 is a compact urban crossover designed to take on the likes of Nissan's Juke and Renault's new Captur. Based on the Peugeot 208 it measures just 200 cm longer with a footprint of 4.16 (l) x 1.76 (w).
There will be four trim levels at launch Access+, Active, Allure & Feline with six engine choices, six alloy wheel designs, seven trim environments, eight colours and 18 key options.
The 2008 is around £1000 more than the corresponding 208 model.
Standard equipment includes cruise control with speed limiter, six airbags - two front, two side, two curtain. Safety equipment comprises ESP with Anti-Skid Regulation (ASR), Stability Control (CDS), Emergency Braking Assistance (EBA) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBFD) with Isofix mountings for child seats in the rear.
The Peugeot 2008 Allure and Feline models will feature Grip Control as standard which has Standard, Snow, Off-Road, Sand and ESP Off modes. It is designed to offer maximum traction in all conditions including off-road although the 2008 is not really designed for serious off-road use nor is it four-wheel drive.
