Nissan in Europe has reported sales of 32,437 units in August 2010, representing an increase of 3% year on year with a market share of 3.2%. TIV decreased by 4% versus August 2009.
Nissan in Europe's market share increased in many of the European markets in the month of August 2010. Market share in Russia was 4.7% +1% vs. last year; market share in the UK was 4.5% +1% vs. last year. In Italy market share was 2,7%, +0.2%, and market share in France was 2.7%, +0.2% year on year.
Bernard Loire, Vice President Sales Operations for Nissan in Europe commented: "Nissan in Europe reached 3.2% MS, above last year by 0.1pt in a decreasing market in August. This good performance shows the attractiveness of Nissan products, and the success of Nissan Crossover Strategy."
