The new Nissan Micra is set to go on sale September 2013 and is promising to be more than just a face-lift.
The new Micra will receive a new front and rear end with an interior makeover featuring a new central console and trims. There are two new colours pearl metallic Pacific Blue and metallic Platinum Sage and a range of new 15-inch and 16-inch alloy wheels.Exterior
The exterior sees a new face which comprises front bumper, bonnet, wings and headlamps which follows the Nissan corporate look styling cues. The tail end sees a redesigned bumper and new LED tail lamps.Interior
The interior features revised instrument graphics for better clarity, a new central console, and also benefits from dash-mounted Aux-in and USB slots and a 12v socket to allow mobile phones or MP3 players to be recharged.Engines
On the engine front there will be the entry level 1.2 litre petrol engine which develops 80PS with CO2 emissions of 115 g/km. Or there is a choice of the three-cylinder 1.2-litre direct injection gasoline supercharged (DIG-S) unit. This engine develops 98PS and CO2 emissions of 95 g/km with stop/start technology it promises 68.9 mpg on the combined cycle.

Standard Equipment over the Visia includes chrome accents, body colour door mirrors and handles, 15-inch wheels, roof spoiler, automatic climate control, front fog lamps, driver's armrest, leather covered steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity plus automatic control for the headlamps and wipers.Nissan Micra Tekna
Adds automatic air conditioning, NissanConnect, rear parking sensors, Parking Slot Measurement, 16-inch alloy wheels, suede-like seat fabric, automatic folding door mirrors and Intelligent Key with engine start button.NissanConnect
NissanConnect which is standard on the Tekna trim has been updated with a new bigger 5.8-inch screen, it now features eco-routing, which automatically calculates the route likely to use the least fuel and incorporates an eco-scoring table that allows a driver to check how economically they have been driving. It can also display album cover art linked to the owner's music library. It can also use Google's Send-To-Car technology which allows the owner to plan their journey from their tablet or PC. There is also Google's Point of Interest (POI) search-and-access to weather forecasts, local fuel prices and flight information.Parking Slot Measurement
If you opt for PSM - Parking Slot Measurement with Rear Parking Sensors the system will measure whether the Micra will fit in the parking space or not, it even be adjusted to account for the driver's skill - amateur, normal or expert.Nissan Micra Prices
