Mitsubishi Motors in the UK has posted an all-time new vehicle sales record of 5,373 for the month of September, up 12% on 2002. This brings year to date sales to 24,905 vehicles, 19% up on the same period last year.
Lance Bradley, Director of Sales & Marketing states: "It is clear that 2003 will be a record year for Mitsubishi Motors in the UK. Our network is in place and is in excellent shape, our pricing is right and our marketing campaigns are successfully targeting the right customers. We have had no all-new models to launch since 2000 and these results give us real confidence for even greater growth when we launch our new products - Outlander, Grandis and the new Colt - which will hit the market next year."
Sales have continued strongly across the range throughout 2003 with exceptional results shown by Carisma up 49 %, Shogun up 18% and L200, with 9,729 sales up 49% on the previous year. Carisma continues to be Mitsubishi’s top-selling passenger car with sales of 3,925 models so far this year.
