Revised Package Gives Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII 260 Even Greater Appeal

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII 260

How can the desirability of the acclaimed Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII be increased? Simple, by making it even more affordable and offering three years free servicing.

And that’s just what Mitsubishi has done. Between 1st October and 31st December the Evolution VIII 260 is offered at an on-the-road price of £22,999, a saving of £1,000 on the list figure. In addition, Mitsubishi is offering free servicing for three years, or 27,000 miles, whichever comes sooner.

Mitsubishi Motors UK is confident that this latest package will open up Evolution ownership to a wider audience and encourage greater sales, as Paul Brigden, General Manager for Ralliart, explains:

"This realignment in pricing and valuable offer on servicing is designed to make owning an Evolution VIII even more attractive. It brings prices in line, or even lower, than that of other cars in this sector, many of which cannot match the technological features and performance of the Evolution."

This special offer package sees the Evolution VIII represent even greater value for money, so that even more people can experience the legendary handling and performance that has become synonymous with the brand.

The Evolution VIII 260 makes use of Mitsubishi’s world-renowned 2-litre in-line 4-cylinder 16 valve DOHC turbocharged intercooled engine, which develops 261 bhp @ 6500 rpm and produces 262 lb.ft. of torque @ 3500rpm. This provides the car with a 0-62mph acceleration time of 6.1 secs and a limited top speed of 152mph.

Utilising state-of-the-art technology, the Evolution VIII 260 is fitted with a five-speed, close ratio gearbox, coupled to its electronically controlled, ‘active’ four-wheel-drive transmission. The car also comes packed with equipment, including: Mitsubishi’s Super AYC (Active Yaw Control), ABS and EBD braking system, Recaro front seats, 6-spoke 17" alloy wheels and optimised suspension.
