Mitsubishi Grandis Warrior

Mitsubishi Motors has announced the introduction of a new top of the range Warrior version of its seven-seat Grandis MPV.

Already a stunning looking vehicle, the new Grandis Warrior makes an even bigger style statement whilst also delivering more customer-focussed practicality. On sale across the UK from 1st January, Grandis Warrior is priced at £22,499 with manual transmission and £23,499 with INVECS II 4-speed automatic transmission with Sports Mode.

Lower, sportier and sharper than its competitors, the new Mitsubishi Grandis Warrior comes loaded with an impressive list of standard specification including an 8" DVD entertainment system, 6 disc CD auto changer and leather seats displaying Mitsubishi’s Warrior logo. Most noticeably, the Warrior sports a new striking image with 18" alloy wheels, sports-type aluminium front grille plus chrome details including wing mirrors, door handles, rear tailgate grip and exhaust trim.

As with all Grandis models in the range, this latest addition comes laden with equipment and important safety features including ABS with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), driver and passenger front and side airbags plus curtain airbags for the first and second rows of seats. Keyless entry and alarm, automatic air conditioning, front fog lamps, rear spoiler, electronic door mirrors and height adjustable driver’s seat with armrest. Metallic paint comes as standard with a choice of sterling silver or cosmos black.

Not only does the new Grandis Warrior look the part, it is also the only full-size MPV to have a rear row of seats that can be individually folded away into the floor in a simple operation that takes seconds. This feature, called "Hide & Seat™", creates extra luggage capacity without the problems of folding, removing, carrying and storing heavy seats.

In terms of performance, Mitsubishi’s 2.4-litre SOHC 16 valve 4 cylinder powerplant, equipped with MIVEC variable valve timing, develops 162bhp @ 6,000 rpm and 217 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. Grandis accelerates from 0-62 mph in 10.0 seconds (11.7 seconds with auto transmission), has a top speed of 124 mph (118mph with auto transmission) and has a combined fuel consumption figure of 30.1mpg or 9.4 litres/100km (28.2mpg or 10.0 litres/100km for the automatic).

All Grandis models come with a 3-year unlimited mileage warranty, 12-year anti corrosion perforation warranty and the security of 3-year pan-European breakdown and recovery cover.
