The model line-up for the stylish new Colt 3-door range has been announced by Mitsubishi Motors UK. In showrooms from February, 3-door prices start at £7,499 for the entry-level 1.1-litre Colt Red, rising to £10,249 for the 1.5 DI-D Equippe and £12,999 for the flagship 147bhp Colt CZT.
Keen pricing, generous specification and coupé-like styling make this latest entry to the supermini segment a particularly attractive proposition. And with an exciting, high performance variant, the Colt CZT, included in the mix, this is a range whose attraction will lie as much in its dynamic capabilities as its undeniably good looks.
"Colt 3-door builds on the tremendous response we have received to the Colt 5-door model and while both offer the same value for money proposition in this highly competitive market segment, the 3-door is a model in its own right adding another dimension to the Mitsubishi’s exciting new line-up," explains Jim Tyrrell, Managing Director, Mitsubishi Motors UK.
The new Colt 3-door range consists of four trim levels - Red, Attivo, Equippe and Mirage - while the Colt CZT features its own unique specification. All models are generously equipped with standard specification, including driver and passenger front airbags, ABS and EBD braking, Isofix fittings on the outer rear seats, remote central locking, a four speaker CD audio system, colour coded bumpers, engine immobiliser, front power windows with anti-trap and one-touch function and electronic power steering.
Moving up from the entry-level 1.1-litre £7,499 Colt Red, Attivo trim then adds a leather steering wheel and gearshift, driver seat height adjustment and 15-inch alloys all for £8,249. The Equippe grade is available at £9,249 with a 1.3-litre petrol engine (plus £500 for AMT transmission) and £10,249 if a 1.5 DI-D engine is preferred and gets rear disc brakes, two more speakers, electric/heated door mirrors and air conditioning. The Colt Mirage starts at £9,249 for the 1.1-litre and £9,749 for the 1.3-litre. The Mirage capitalises on the 3-door Colt’s sporty image by featuring 16-inch alloys, rear spoiler, red interior trim, red leather trimmed steering wheel and gearshift, alloy pedals, steering wheel mounted audio controls and front fogs.
