Monday 18th November will see the introduction of a cornerstone site for Mitsubishi Motors UK, when J R Tagger opens its doors for the first time as a Mitsubishi dealer.
Established in 1989, JR Tagger had become one of the most successful Mercedes dealers in the country. The family owned business now switches its allegiance to Mitsubishi and sees this as a great opportunity to develop its sales and service in the Watford and Harrow areas.
J R Tagger are also established Harley Davidson dealers and Mitsubishi's range of cars, MPVs, pick-ups and acclaimed 4x4 Shogun models will go on display alongside these legendary American motorcycles.
Dealer Principal, Paul Lamar, is confident that his company's new association with Mitsubishi will be successful and predicts great potential with the brand:
"Our current Harley Davidson customers will be interested in the Shogun and L200 pick-up models to compliment their leisure activities, whilst the Lancer Evolution and Galant range will appeal to performance-minded riders."
"We also envisage that the customers who demand value for money and practicality will take a close look at the Carisma and Colt models and those with larger families, who need more than a motorcycle to get away from it all, will be attracted by the Space Star and Space Wagon MPV's."
Also starting on 18th November will be North Road Mitsubishi in Lerwick, Shetland, with Lee & Turner Mitsubishi of Bridgend, scheduled to commence trading on 1st January 2003.
The appointment of JR Tagger brings the number of Mitsubishi dealers in Britain up to 136 - the highest for ten years, a factor which signifies that Mitsubishi Motors UK is one of the only importers currently increasing its number of sites.
