Mitsubishi Motors has announced return of sales results for 2010 and Quarter One 2011.
The figures show Mitsubishi dealer profitability in 2010 was the best in company history, with Quarter One 2011 continuing with strong performance.
Lance Bradley, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK’s Managing Director, stated: "The first item on my agenda at every dealer meeting is their profitability, so it is very pleasing to see that our focus has not only secured an increased profit for the average Mitsubishi dealer, but that 25% of our UK dealers are achieving ROS in excess of a staggering 5%. Dealer profitability will continue to be a key focus for us moving forwards."
The figures show that 85% of Mitsubishi dealers are in profit compared to the same period in 2010, a 12% increase.
Quarter One 2011 sales are up by over 17% compared to Quarter One 2010, whilst the overall market in the UK has declined 13%.
During 2010, Mitsubishi appointed 17 new dealers and another 6 so far during 2011, with new dealers waiting to join the franchise.
Mitsubishi's dealer focused approach to commercial decision making is key to attracting new dealers, alongside its product line-up, future product plans and strong environmental messages.
