The new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV SUV, a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle has scored five-stars in the latest Euro NCAP testing - scoring Adult Occupant Protection: 88%, Child Occupant Protection: 84%, Pedestrian Protection: 64% and Safety Assist: 81%.
Which compares to the comparable five-star Toyota RAV4 which scored Adult Occupant Protection: 89%, Child Occupant Protection: 82%, Pedestrian Protection: 66% and Safety Assist: 66%, when tested in 2013.
The Outlander PHEV looks like it will be an instant success for Mitsubishi with over 12,000 orders being placed Europe wide as of November 2013, with sales in the Netherlands equating to around 100 orders per week.
