The new MINI Coupe, offers everything expected from the MINI brand - design, handling agility and performance, in a strictly two-seater model.
The new model features a "helmet roof" design, with sharply raked A-pillars, wrap-around glass areas and superimposed roof.
The MINI Coupe features the stepped rear end styling of a gran turismo; a sporty, flat coupe silhouette which sits up to 52 millimetres lower than that of the the MINI Hatch. An active rear spoiler optimising airflow at higher speeds which automatically extends at 50mph.
The most powerful four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines are available for the MINI Coupe range. The MINI John Cooper Works Coupe features a 211 hp engine, MINI Cooper S Coupe - 184 hp engine, MINI Cooper Coupe - 122 hp, MINI Cooper SD Coupe - 143 hp. A six-speed manual gearbox will be fitted as standard, with a six-speed automatic option for the MINI Cooper S Coupe, MINI Cooper Coupe and MINI Cooper SD Coupe.
As standard, the MINI Coupe's roof will come in contrasting colour, with optional Sport stripes for the bonnet in the same colour. An anthracite roof liner is also standard and new upholstery variants, exterior mirror colours, trim strips and Colour Lines offer additional customisation options.
Standard features include speed-sensitive power steering, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, Park Distance Control, height-adjustable seats, air conditioning (for the MINI Cooper S Coupe, MINI Cooper SD Coupe, MINI John Cooper Works Coupe) and an audio system with MP3-compatible CD player and AUX IN connection.
For the MINI Coupe, optional equipment available includes black headlight housing, xenon headlights, Adaptive Headlights, Comfort Access, automatic climate control, automatically dimming rear-view mirror and exterior mirrors, storage package, preparation for a rear luggage carrier rack.
A Harman Kardon Hi-Fi loudspeaker system, Bluetooth mobile phone preparation, USB audio interface are available as options, as well as MINI Connected functions - which includes web radio, Google local search and Google Send to Car services, RSS news feeds, plus in-car use of Facebook and Twitter - all of which are available with the MINI Visual Boost radio or MINI navigation system.
