The New MINI Cooper SD Hatch 3-door will go on sale in July priced from £19,450.
There are six engine variants available for the new MINI 3-door hatch, three-petrol and three-diesel units, all of which are new to the MINI range, featuring three or four cylinders with MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology.
The new Cooper SD features a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit producing 170 hp / 360 Nm. The 360 Nm of torque cuts in at 1,500 rpm making it the torquiest engine ever fitted to a MINI. The SD engine features TwinPower Turbo Technology with variable turbine geometry and common rail injection.
All this equates to a 0-62 mph time of 7.3 seconds in manual guise or 7.2 seconds with the optional six-speed automatic box. According to NEDC figures it can average 68.9 mpg with CO2 emissions of 109 g/km, dependent on tyres £107 g/km with the auto box.
