The new MINI Clubman has gone on sale priced from £19,995 for the entry level Cooper model.
The new Clubman now comes with four real doors - so access to the rear is easily available from both sides of the car, although it retains the barn style rear doors. It has a larger footprint than the old model and is 270mm longer and 73mm wider than the current 5-door Hatch edition with 100mm longer wheel base - (4,253mm (l) x 1,800mm (w) x 1,441mm (h)). The MINI Clubman can accommodate with the rear seats in place up to 360 litres of cargo which extends to 1,250 litres with them folded down, there is an option of 40:20:40 split fold rear seat in place of the standard 60:40 set up.
There are four engines available from launch which can be indentified as Cooper Clubman, Cooper D Clubman, Cooper S Clubman and the Cooper SD Clubman. There is also the introduction of an optional 8-speed Steptronic transmission on the later three models.
The Clubman ranges starts with the Cooper edition which is equipped as standard with 16” Revolite Spoke alloy wheels, MINI Navigation, Bluetooth handsfree, interior lights pack, central display with LED ring, MINI Excitement pack, start/stop with keyless, where the Cooper D is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The MINI Cooper S Clubman adds 17” Vent Spoke alloy wheels, twin exhausts, sports seats for the driver and front passenger and Performance Control , the Cooper SD adds a diesel engine.
You can add the Chili pack which includes cloth/leather upholstery with heated sports seats, MINI’s comfort access system, park distance control, automatic air conditioning, LED headlights and LED fog lights for an additional £2,785 - an option that around 50% owners go for.
