Italian road trip is just the job for MINI's charity partner

The Italian Job

MINI UK’s charity partner KidsOut is set to hit the jackpot this year.  The Italian Job, a charitable pan-European rally now in its 19th successful year, has committed to making KidsOut the primary beneficiary of its fundraising efforts from 2008 onwards.

Given that The Italian Job has raised in excess of £2 million for children’s charities throughout the UK and Europe since 1990, KidsOut is all set for a major boost in its work with disadvantaged children.

The rally will feature participating teams driving a range of privately owned classic MINI cars as well as a huge number of new MINIs.  The rally route begins in Imola, Italy on 24 October 2008 where wine will be collected rather than the gold that featured in the original ’Job. Continuing apace through Bologna, Turin and Venice, ‘Jobbers’ will then progress to the Adria raceway circuit and on to Monza. All will have the opportunity to drive laps on the Lingotto Rooftop track, which appeared in the 1969 film of the same name.

Capacity for the road trip will be limited to approximately 100 cars.  Potential participants are able to enter if they can commit to raising a minimum of £1,500. Further details can be found at
