Production of the MG6, the first all new MG in 16 years has begun at MG's UK factory.

The first customer destined car came off the final assembly line at the plant at MG Birmingham, marking the start of a new era for MG.

The only women currently working on the Production line, Lisa Ponter had the honour of driving the car off the line.

Three trims of the 1.8 litre petrol turbocharged MG6 are available to order, with prices ranging from£15,495 to £18,995 for the top of the range TSE model. Insurance levels for the entry model MG6 S is rated 13E while the SE and TSE are 14E. The first deliveries to customers take place next month.
