The new MG6 has gone on sale priced from £13,995 for the entry level ‘S’ model and rise to £17,995 for the top of the range MG6 ‘TL’.
According to MG the new model offers an up to £3,000 value-for-money improvement over its predecessor, which was launched four years ago.
The new MG6 is powered by a diesel 1.9-litre DTi-TECH engine developing 150PS /350Nm. The official combined mpg is 61.4 mpg with CO2 emissions of 119 g/km. The benchmark 0-60 mph takes 8.4 seconds making it quicker than the outgoing model and more efficient.
There are now three trim levels, ‘S’, ‘TS’ and ‘TL’.
The entry level ‘S’ costs £13,995 and is equipped with daytime LED running lights, heated front seats, 16” alloy wheels, electronic parking brake. There are luxuries like electronic air conditioning and all round electric windows.
The mid range ‘TS’ costs £16,195 and adds part man-made leather seats; rear parking sensors; automatic lights; windscreen wipers; cruise control; auto dimming mirrors and the all-new MG touch infotainment system which comprises of satellite navigation, DAB radio tuner and smartphone mirroring. The spec also includes auto-dipping rear mirror, rain sensitive wipers and auto on headlights.
The £17,995 top of the range MG6 ‘TL’ adds to the above specs, full leather seats, directional Bi-Xenon headlights, electric seats and dual zone climate control.
