The Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Roadster provides the combination of open-top driving pleasure with outstanding driving dynamics.

Technological features of the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Roadster include an aluminium spaceframe body, an AMG 6.3 litre V8 front-mid engine provides 571hp and 650 newton metres of torque with a 0-62mph time of 3.8 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 196mph, seven speed dual clutch and sports suspension with aluminium double wishbones.

The fabric soft top takes eleven seconds to open and close at speeds of up to 50km/h. AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with electronically controlled damping is an optional extra. The allows to damping to be altered by the driver, choosing one of the three modes: "Comfort", "Sport" and "Sport Plus".

A new multimedia system provides telemetric displays including lateral and linear acceleration, engine data and lap times as well as high speed internet access.

Safety features include a fixed roll-over protection system and eight airbags: adaptive front airbags and kneebags, two seat-integrated sidebags and two windowbags which are deployed from the door beltlines.

An optional Blind Spot Assist provides visual and acoustic warning for the driver when another vehicle is detected in the blind spot when changing lanes.

The Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Roadster will launch in the UK in November 2011, with  UK Specification and pricing still to be confirmed.
