The MANSORY McLaren MP4-12C will be previewed at the Geneva Motor Show from the 9th-18th March 2012. The German styling come tuning house MANSORY are well known for their radical designs and mechanical/software enhancements.
This time they have done their wizardry to the McLaren MP4-12C. The centrepiece of its customisation programme is a powerful performance enhancement package. The upgrade includes a high-performance exhaust system, a new engine-management system and a sports air filter with increased air through flow.
The combination of these components results in a power increase to 670 PS at 7,100rpm (standard car: 608 PS at 7,000 rpm). At the same time, the maximum torque limbs to 675 Nm, which is available in the range 3,000 to 6,500 rpm (standard car: 600 Nm at 3,000 to 6,500 rpm) - the top speed is increased to just under 220 mph.
And by lowering the McLaren MP4-12C’s weight MANSORY have decreased the fuel consumption. MANSORY have used a lot of carbon-fibre in the roof, the front and rear apron, the mirror housing and the wings.
The body package which widens the car by 60mm comprises of an ultra light bonnet with exposed carbon-fibre sections and proprietary daytime driving lights. There is a newly designed side sill set which steadies the airflow between the two axles. The new wing profile, in combination with the diffuser, delivers greater contact pressure on the rear axle.
