Donalds Garage Ipswich

Motability-qualified drivers in East Anglia could soon be zooming along the roads in one of the latest Mazda family or sports cars following the announcement that local dealership Donalds Garage has signed up to the Motability Scheme.

Customers of Donalds Garage Ipswich who obtain their cars under the Motability Contract Hire Scheme can take advantage of the nil advance payment on the Mazda2 1.25 hatchback model and an advance payment of just £465 on the Mazda MX-5 1.6i, the world’s best selling convertible roadster. For the less mobile, these offers provide even more choice in the compact car market as well as the affordable sports car market.

In addition, the Mazda3, launched in 2004, is also available on the scheme in both its attractive hatchback and saloon varieties. This C-Segment vehicle has been a great success for the Japanese manufacturer since its introduction, adding to Mazda’s revitalised new line-up that started with the Mazda6 in 2002.

Graham Wemyss, general manager of Donalds Garage, said: "Motability customers require access to independent transport and look for the same things as everyone else in a car – comfort, economy, driving dynamics, safety and security. The Mazda2, Mazda3 and Mazda MX-5 are all excellent examples of vehicles that more than meet those needs."

Mazda2 was voted the ‘Most Comfortable Car 2003’ by What Car? magazine, chosen for its neat packaging, clever design and easy access for all drivers, including the not so agile.

The Mazda MX-5 was named Autocar ‘Best Handling Car 2003’ for its outstanding ride and handling, coupled with reassuring safety and reliability.

"Just because someone is less mobile, it shouldn’t mean they can’t enjoy the experience of driving a sports car. The MX-5 has already been identified as one of the best sports cars on the market for handling as well as safety and reliability and is equally suited to the Motability scheme," added Graham Wemyss.

Mazda2 and Mazda3 both come with power steering, multi-adjustable driver’s seat, steering wheel height adjust and steering wheel mounted audio controls, making it ideal for Motability customers with minimal adjustments needed for maximum driver comfort.
