Mazda MX-5 Icon

An Icon is about to make a hit in Mazda showrooms this month. The Mazda MX-5 Icon Special Edition, available from April is the latest special edition model of the world’s most popular roadster. The Mazda MX-5 Icon is available at £16,600 on-the-road for the 1.6i model and £17,100 on-the-road for the 1.8i model.

Featuring black leather heated seats and black leather steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake lever all with orange stitching, windblocker and two additional tweeter speakers (normally an option on the 1.6i model), all fitted as standard means you can join in the British tradition of open-top motoring in true style this summer.

Style of an Icon

The Mazda MX-5 Icon, which is fitted with a cloth soft top and 15" inch alloy wheels as standard, is available with the lively 1.6-litre 110ps engine or Mazda’s popular 1.8-litre 146ps engine. These return 36.2mpg and 32.5mpg respectively on the official Combined cycle, perfect for cruising on a sunny day while saving on the fuel bill.

The Icon adds high levels of specification to the standard Mazda MX-5, featuring remote central locking and deadlocking and a single CD player with two additional tweeters and a wind blocker with two built-in additional speakers, which is normally an option on the 1.6i model.

Front fog lamps and the choice of four colours - unique Chilli Orange mica and Black mica, as well as popular Titanium Grey and Sunlight Silver metallic - are available, while stainless steel scuff plates complete the stylish exterior look.

Stylish Open-top Motoring

This special edition model boasts a unique opportunity for customers to personalise their Mazda MX-5 Icon with a choice of a number of stylish interior and exterior accessories up to the value of £500, all included in the price.

Hinting at the sporty appearance for which the car is famous are a stainless steel air intake mesh grille and popular style bar, while a centre storage pocket and rear luggage carrier will prove useful for those summer driving days. Enquire at your local dealer for full details on these and more Mazda MX-5 accessories.

Safety as Standard

All the usual safety and convenience features of the Mazda MX-5 are fitted as standard to the Icon model, including anti-lock brakes, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and seats with integral head restraints.

The insurance group for the Mazda MX-5 Icon remains unchanged from standard versions, with the 1.6i at 11E and the 1.8i at 12A.
