Pricing for the Maserati GranCabrio Sport has been confirmed, at £103,615 on the road, with the first UK customer deliveries arriving in October 2011.
The Maserati GranCabrio Sport features a more powerful and fuel efficient 4.7 litre V8 engine producing 450HP and maximum torque of 510Nm at 4750rpm.
Maserati's Friction Reduction Programme has resulted in the engine of the Maserati GranCabrio Sport more responsive at the same time as achieving a 6% reduction in fuel consumption. The ZF six-speed automatic transmissions features the MC Auto Shift software allowing the GranCabrio Sport to reach 62mph from standing in 5.2 seconds on to a top speed of 177mph.
A sportier feel comes courtesy of the Skyhook active-suspension along with a braking system with grooved and drilled dual-cast brake discs.
A revised exhaust system automatically opens its bypass valves when in sport mode, which results in a richer sound.
A black grille complete with a Trident with red accents and black look headlights with white sidemarks emphasise the sleek look of the Maserati Grancabrio Sport. Front corner splitters and redesigned side skirts matching the colour of the car's bodywork, black oval exhaust tips and 20" Astro design wheels also feature on the exterior.
The interior includes newly designed seats and longer Trofeo-design gear-shift paddles and drilled aluminium pedals.
A new body colour, Rosso Trionfale is available for the Maserati GranCabrio Sport, a rich metallic red inspired by the Italian national colour as used on 1950s racing Maseratis.
two new leather colours are available for the new M-design seats: Bianco Pregiato, a brilliant ivory shade; and Grigio Chrono, a dark tone of grey.
