Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse (2013)

Lamborghini have released the Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse direct from the race track, basically a track car which is street legal. It will have its world premiere at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show.

The name Squadra Corse refers to the recently-founded department within Automobili Lamborghini, which manages all motorsport activities from GT3 to the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo championships in Europe, Asia and America.

The LP 570-4 Squadra Corse is powered by the same 570 hp V10 engine as the rest of range but it is lighter with the use of with aluminium and carbon fibre - in fact it is 70kg lighter than the LP 560-4.

Performance is 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds - 125 mph in 10.4 seconds and a top speed of 199 mph. The Squadra Corse features Lamborghini's robotized e-gear six-speed transmission operated by steering wheel paddles.

The Squadra Corse is available in a range of colours Giallo Midas (yellow), Bianco Monocerus (white), Grigio Thalasso (grey) and in Rosso Mars (red), where the rear wing is matte black. The bonnet, front air intakes, rear diffuser and 19-inch forged wheels are painted in high-gloss black; the brake callipers are available in red, black or yellow.

The interior features carbon fibre and Alcantara, the door panels, the racing seats trimmed with Alcantara and the centre console cover are made from carbon fibre - it is possible to specify comfort seats in place of racing bucket seats.
