Kia Sorento

From motorway accidents to rural incidents and VIP protection runs in between, the Kia Sorento can be found pounding the beat as it is trialled by the Wiltshire Police Force.

Just as comfortable weaving in and out of rural nooks and crannies as it is policing the M4, the Kia Sorento 3.5 V6 XS assists the general traffic unit in responding to calls off-road as well as on.

"The Sorento is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week as it provides the Force with a high visibility patrol car which can withstand long hours of motorway driving but when necessary overcome rural conditions in the toughest police environment," explains Steve Botham, Fleet and Services Manager at Wiltshire Constabulary.

"We looked at the current range of suitable cars and SUV’s available in this class of Policing and chose to trial the Sorento as it more than meets our specification needs and represents an unrivalled value for money package."

Phil Molkenthin, National Corporate Sales Manager explains: "Since the Sorento hit the UK market it has been awarded ‘4x4 of the Year 2004’ by 4x4 Magazine and been an instant hit with both consumers and fleet customers. By actively engaging in vehicle trials, Police Forces and Emergency Services across the UK can quickly determine the suitability of the Sorento and we are confident it will meet their needs."
