At the Auto Express Used Car Awards 2011, Kia's Approved Used Car Scheme has been named Used Car Scheme of the Year.
Kia received praise for going beyond the norm with approved used programmes, offering customers such benefits as the industry-leading seven year warranty which is fully transferable to subsequent owners.
Rather than receiving the remainder of the manufacturer warranty, transferred Approved Used Kias receive the full seven years warranty, benefiting from the same warranty as a brand new Kia.
Auto express said: "Plus, you get 60 days or 1,000 miles in which to change your mind. Add to this two years of breakdown cover, seven days’ free drive-away insurance and a useful online car locator, and you have a cracking approved scheme."
John Hargreaves, Head of Vehicle Remarketing, Kia Motors (UK) Limited said: "When we launched our Approved Used Car Scheme we set out to ensure it really did represent the best possible deal for customers so we're obviously very proud that this been recognised by Auto Express with this award.
"Resetting our pioneering seven year warranty back to new when you buy an Approved Used Kia really differentiates us from other schemes - it means that a Kia could be under warranty for some eight and a half years in total. We believe this shows that our high level of confidence in the product isn't just limited to when a car is new.
"The strength of our Approved Used Car Scheme is also a key factor in the strong residual values we’re achieving across our range" added Hargreaves.
Vehicles sold under Kia's Approved Used Car Scheme are up to 18 months old and have up to 18,000 miles on the clock. Approved Used Kias benefit from the following:
