The hatchback engine line-up includes a 1.4-litre (104 bhp) and 1.6-litre (120 bhp) 16-valve petrol units and two 1.6 litre CRDi turbo diesel engines with two power outputs producing either 89 bhp or 113 bhp, plus the range topping 2.0-litre (138 bhp) turbo diesel.  This range provides a comprehensive mix of performance and economy to suit all requirements and provides over 70 per cent segment coverage.  An automatic transmission is offered with either the 1.6-litre petrol or diesel engines. Otherwise you get a five-speed manual transmission except with the 2.0-litre diesel which has a six-speed manual gearbox.

The Kia cee'd SW will initially be available with the three 1.6-litre engines, one petrol and two turbo-diesel also available in the five-door hatchback. The line-up has been deliberately chosen to give Kia the broadest market coverage - engines of around the 1.6-litre capacity account for the majority of C-segment estate car sales in the UK - while maintaining a range which is simple for the customer to follow. The fourth engine from the hatchback, the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel is coming very soon.

Prices currently start from £11,095 for 1.4 s hatchback through to £16,395.00 for 2.0 CRDi Sport SW, the SW range attracts an £800 premium over the hatchback equivalent.
