The new second generation Kia cee’d hatchback goes on sale on the 1st June 2012, priced from £14,395 to £23,595.The SW and pro_cee'd models will follow on towards the end of the year.
The new model is 50 mm longer than its predecessor, yet it is narrower by 10 mm and has been lowered by 10 mm – yet there is more room inside and boot capacity has been increased by 12% to 380 litres.
There is a choice of two petrol (1.4 98 bhp & 1.6 133 bhp) and two turbodiesel engines (1.4 89 bhp & 1.6 126 bhp). Across the range is there is now 6-speed transmissions as standard with the option of Dual Clutch Transmission for the 133 bhp petrol model.
Kia have upped the ante – with new features such as Xenon adaptive front lights, Parallel Parking Assist and Lane Departure Warning systems that would not be out of place on high-end Mercedes.
