Kia Motors (UK) Limited has teamed up with Bush2 to sponsor this year’s Dealer 6000 fund-raising event. The chase is on to visit every dealer in the UK in just 5 days to raise money for BEN, the industry’s benevolent fund for employees past and present.
From the 5 to 9 December, the Bush2 team will sprint around the UK in three Sportage’s, a Sorento and a Sedona as part of their fleet of vehicles. 2005 is BEN’s centenary year and the aim this year is to pull out all the stops and smash the previous total of £20,000.
Paul Williams, managing director Kia Motors (UK) Limited, added: "BEN is a charity close to our hearts at Kia and has provided a great deal of support to both colleagues and friends from the industry. This year we have increased our commitment to BEN internally through employee contributions and are keen to offer further support to this worthwhile cause."
Each of Kia’s 155 dealerships around the UK is keen to support the event and have been asked to dig deep and contribute whatever they can to the final figure raised this year.
David Bush, marketing director of Bush2 said: "We have many more sponsors taking part in the event this year and will be visiting a greater number of dealers in the hope of raising even more money for BEN. The range of vehicles provided by Kia means we have a combination of load-luggers for practical purposes and faster cars for the fun part."
The Dealer 6000 event launches in Gatwick on 30 November and is set to be a fantastic evening for all involved. TV presenter, Vicki Butler-Henderson will also be there to wave off the sponsors’ cars at the start.
