Jaguar Cars announces the introduction of the new X-TYPE 2-litre V6 S derivative. Designed to satisfy the demands of business users and private buyers alike, this comprehensively equipped sports saloon adds a new dimension to the X-TYPE range. Rich Feature Specification

Based on the existing 2-litre V6 derivative, the new X-TYPE V6 S emphasises Jaguar’s stylish design and the sporting driving characteristics of the X-TYPE. The highly specified V6 S offers customers an extremely competitive, affordable package, with carefully chosen features to improve on the already strong residual values of the X-TYPE. The new V6 S is priced at £20,995 on the road.

Commenting on the new addition to the X-TYPE range, Dermot Harkin, Jaguar’s UK Operations Director, said: "The new V6 S is specifically tailored to broaden the appeal of the X-TYPE even further to those customers who demand a subtle yet sporting saloon with a rich feature specification at an affordable price. Compared with the 2-litre V6, the V6 S package offers an additional £3,210 worth of equipment for only £1,000.

The new V6 S is available only with a 2-litre engine, in all X-TYPE exterior metallic colours and with a choice of Sand, Dove or Warm Charcoal interior trim.

With 157 bhp available and sharing the sporting character of the larger 2.5-litre and 3.0-litre X-TYPE engines, the 2-litre AJ-V6 delivers spirited performance, competitive fuel economy and low emissions. The new V6 S model complements the existing 2-litre line-up, that comprises the 2-litre V6 (£19,995), Sport (£22,245) and luxurious SE (£22,995).
