The 2003 Monaco Grand Prix is set to sparkle with a difference this year as Jaguar partners with Formula One Publishing and Steinmetz, creators of the world’s finest diamonds, to bring horse power and diamond glamour together as never seen before.
Steinmetz, in association with the Diamond Trading Company, will unveil its ‘Jewel in the Crown’, a unique flawless diamond at a celebrity gala dinner at the Hotel de Paris on Thursday 29th May 2003, followed by a high profile programme of events around the Grand Prix schedule.
Celebrities and stars will be accessorised by the House of Moussaeiff, one of the most discreet and exclusive fine jewellers in the world, whose stunning diamond jewellery includes stones from Steinmetz.
The programme of this Flawless Engineering weekend celebrates the diverse technology that has brought us carbon on the circuit and carbon in jewellery. “We are delighted to be partnering Steinmetz, the Diamond Trading Company and Formula One Publishing in what promises to be a truly unique occasion against the backdrop of the most glamorous motor racing event in the world,” said Bob Dover, Chairman, Jaguar Cars and Board Member, Jaguar Racing. “The similarities between the highly skilled technical and visionary demands of a diamond cutter and the challenges faced by a Jaguar designer are clear. Both strive for excellence in an uncompromising quest for perfection in performance and design, “ commented BobThis is a 21-year+ news article, from our Jaguar archive, which dates back to the year 2000.
