The new 2012 Jaguar XK range has been redesigned, with elements shared from the Jaguar XKR-S which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2011.
The front of the new Jaguar XK has received the most noticeable changes, with a new set of headlight units which are 15mm slimmer and features LED running lights alongside reflector units. These site above a larger oval grille framed in chrome with mesh in the centre that is finished in black on the jaguar XKR. Either side of the grille are air scoops which feed air to the brakes. a horizontal vent mounted on each wing complete with a chrome blade bearing the Jaguar name running through it replacing the vertical items and sets the Jaguar XK apart from its predecessor. These help the Jaguar XK appear both longer and lower.
New rear taillights utilise LED technology and sit either side of a now thinner chrome strip and for the first time on a Jaguar XK is a Jaguar Leaper badge.
New trim finishes and optional sculpted leather sports seats make up the refreshed interior.
The new Jaguar XK and XKR, on sale from September 2011, will both be available as convertibles, with the new Jaguar XKR-S coupe sitting at the top of the range.
