Jaguar Reveals New Limited Edition X-TYPE XS

Jaguar has announced a new Limited Edition X-TYPE enhancing the range ahead of the key March market. The X-TYPE XS is available in both saloon and estate variants, featuring eye catching additional features, including the Jaguar Sports Collection accessory body styling package.

Based on the new Euro IV compliant X-TYPE 2.0 Diesel S and 2.5 petrol S that already offer over £2,000 worth of equipment, the XS offers strong sporting style combined with excellent performance and value for money.

The XS Saloon features Sports Collection body styling including front spoiler, lower black mesh grille, sill appliqués, boot lid spoiler, rear valance and exhaust tail pipe trims. The package also includes 18" Aruba alloy wheels and a convenience pack (metallic paint, powerfold mirrors, rear park assist and carpet mats). The estate offers elements of the Sports Collection, including upper and lower black mesh grill chrome tailpipe finishers and unique Proteus 18" alloys together with the convenience pack and silver roof rails.

This Sports Collection accessory body styling package, which is now available on all X-TYPE saloon models, gives the car a more athletic, sportier appearance. The side sills have been lowered and a new, lower rear valance added to ensure the more squat, purposeful stance is noticeable from all angles. The X-TYPE XS also gets a more pronounced rear boot spoiler as well as new exhaust tailpipe finishers. The car also carries a specially made XS badge on the right hand side of the boot plinth, below the engine badge.

Limited options are available at normal prices including automatic transmission (2.5 petrol only) and 8-way, 2-way electrically adjustable seats with perforated leather facings plus cruise control.

There are 1000 XS Limited Edition cars in a choice of four different colour combinations; Midnight, Platinum, Zircon and Quartz. The advertised prices start at £22,995 OTR.

Depending on model, the full Sports Collection package can be ordered for all existing X-TYPE diesel and petrol saloons - or retro-fitted - for around £1,495 excluding wheels.
