Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe Prices Confirmed (2014)

The all-aluminium Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe will go on sale priced from £51,235 for the entry level model, rising to £85,000 for the 186 mph ‘R’ Coupe.

There is a choice of three models F-TYPE, F-TYPE ‘S’ and the F-TYPE ‘R’. The F-TYPE and F-TYPE ‘S’ Coupe are powered by a 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol producing 340PS and 380PS respectively with 0-60 mph in 5.1 (4.8) seconds and 161 mph (171 mph). The F-TYPE has CO2 emissions of 205 g/km with 32.1 mpg and the ‘S’ emissions are 213 g/km and 31 mpg.

While the top-of-the-range F-TYPE ‘R’ Coupe is powered by Jaguar’s 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, outputting 550PS/680Nm, with a 0-60 mph time of 4 seconds dead and an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph. On the NEDC combined fuel cycle it was recorded at 25.5 mpg with CO2 emissions of 259 g/km. The ‘R’ features a bespoke suspension set-up with Sports suspension and Adaptive Dynamics damping plus Configurable Dynamic Mode. There is a second-generation Electronic Active Differential (EAD) and Torque Vectoring as standard. The ‘R’ model even has performance seating with inflatable side-bolstering and prominent wings for support during high-speed cornering.

Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) braking system is optional on both the ‘R’ and ‘S’ models.

All versions are rear wheel drive with an eight-speed 'Quickshift' transmission with full manual sequential control via steering wheel-mounted paddles or the central SportShift lever.

The body is made from a single-piece aluminium pressing which eliminates the need for multiple panels and cosmetic joints, where the roof can be specified either from aluminium or in panoramic glass form. -The F-TYPE Coupe has a fairly accommodating boot which is able to accommodate the benchmark two sets of golf clubs and the tailgate is available with power assisted opening.
