In the Times Top 100 Graduate Employers index, Jaguar Land Rover has placed in 60th position, climbing twenty seven places.

Jaguar Land Rover is the only automotive manufacturer to place in the index, which lists Britain's most respected and sought-after graduate employers in 2011.

The result comes just weeks after Jaguar Land Rover welcomed 336 new graduates, which is the largest single intakes of graduates in Jaguar Land Rover's history.

Commenting on the index Des Thurlby, Jaguar Land Rover HR Director said: "To see Jaguar Land Rover rise up the ranks of this influential survey is incredibly encouraging, particularly given we were new entrants last year. As a business we are at a very exciting juncture as we prepare to bring 40 new product actions to market over the next five years thanks to a multibillion pound investment in product creation. This is clearly a journey that many people want to share with us, as attested by the 8,500 strong bank of applications we had for this year’s graduate intake."

The Top 100 rankings are the result of face to face interviews with 17,851 graduates who left UK universities in summer 2011. The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers book publishes the full details and is distributed free of charge to students seeking opportunities and recent graduates.

For its 2012 intake, jaguar land Rover will launch a campaign to find graduates and will use campus teams at universities throughout the UK for interested graduates to glean more information.
