Infiniti's most popular model throughout Europe, the Infiniti FX is now a safer, better equipped and more luxurious model for 2011.
The latest Infiniti FX37 and FX50 Premium models gain the award winning technology Lane Departure Prevention (LDP). Now, the Premium guise is the same across all three FX engines - 235bhp V6 diesel, 316bhp V6 petrol and 385bhp V8 petrol of the range’s flagship model, the FX50 S Premium.
Other improvements include a new power tailgate as well as new colour and trim combinations.
Previously, Lane Departure Prevention was only available on the Infiniti FX30d. The technology was selected by NCAP to receive the "Advanced Award". The award is presented to technological innovations “which demonstrate a scientifically proven safety benefit for consumers and society."
The Lane Departure Prevention system provides audible and visual warnings of unintended lane departures, but also intervenes to assist in steering the vehicle back into the correct lane.
The Infiniti FX37 GT Premium and S Premium, FX50 S Premium and FX 30d Premium versions will see Lane Departure Prevention technology fitted as standard.
