More than 400 sets of twins and their parents had a ‘cheeky cheeky’ time recently, at the Hyundai-sponsored Twins and Multiple Births Association (Tamba) Fun Day!
And as a special bonus, the most famous twins in pop, the Cheeky Girls, dropped by to sing some of their biggest hits … and see just how many twins you can fit into one event!
The girls, otherwise known as Monica and Gabriela Irimia, flew in by helicopter from London (where they were appearing earlier that day on a children’s programme) and sang The Cheeky Song, Hooray Hooray It’s a Cheeky Holiday and Take Your Shoes Off, among others.
Hyundai was delighted to sponsor the fun day, promoting the seven seater Trajet - the ideal car for the large family looking for a versatile people carrier, without breaking the bank.
With prices starting at £15,495, the Trajet is one of the best equipped MPVs on the market. It is the only full size MPV to offer a five year unlimited mileage, fully transferable five year warranty, and currently also comes with three years free servicing.
All Trajets have the following equipment as standard: driver, passenger and side airbags, anti lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution, power steering, seatbelt pretensioners, front and rear air conditioning, electric front and rear windows, stereo RDS radio/CD unit, double folding second and third row seats (second and third row seats are removable), and sliding outer seats on second row.
Jennie Egan, Hyundai Trajet Product Manager, said: "We recognise that bringing up twins and triplets can be a real challenge. The Trajet is designed to be part of the family, offering all the versatility that a busy family needs, while giving mum and dad an easy time when it comes to buying and running it.
"We were pleased to support Tamba with the fun day, and hope their good work continues for years to come. They provide a vital support and advice role to the families."
The event took place at Telford Town Park; and this was the third running of the Tamba Fun Day. The fun day was designed to celebrate the UK’s twin population - and give children and parents alike a great day out!
Tamba was formed in 1978, with the aim of providing support and advice to the parents of twins and triplets.
Since then Tamba has done invaluable work in bringing together families of twins and triplets, helping them share and solve problems associated with bringing up two or more children of the same age.
And Tamba members have a special bonus this year - one family will win a brand new Trajet 2.0 GSI in a special raffle running throughout this year. All money raised will go towards Tamba initiatives.
