The Hyundai Veloster Turbo SE will go on sale in the UK on the 24th September 2012, priced from £21,995.
The Veloster Turbo SE is powered by Hyundai’s petrol 1.6-litre T-GDI with high-compression twin-scroll turbocharger. It produces 184PS and delivers 265Nm of torque at 1500-4500 rpm, which equates to a 0-62mph time of 8.4 seconds and a top speed of 133mph. The Turbo SE has a six-speed manual gearbox.
Hyundai quote CO2 emissions of 157g/km with an official fuel figure of 40.9mpg on the combined cycle.
On the outside there is choice of three colours, White Crystal (Solid), (£445) Phantom Black Pearl and a (£525) Matt Grey finish. Over the normally aspirated cars there is a new front bumper and radiator grille design plus front fog lights. The rear has a revised bumper, which includes a new fog lamp design plus round twin exhausts and diffuser. A longer and wider rear spoiler with integrated LED brake light is included in the package with a red “Turbo” nameplate on the bottom right of the boot lid.
On the inside there are leather seats feature grey panels, with the “Turbo” embossed on the driver’s and passenger’s seats. The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable with lumbar support.
As standard you receive Hyundai’s 7-inch touchscreen satellite navigation system, incorporating media centre and reverse parking camera with parking guidance and an upgraded eight-speaker sound system with a subwoofer.
The Veloster Turbo SE is protected by Hyundai’s fully transferable 5 Year Triple Care assurance package. This includes a five year unlimited mileage warranty, five years free roadside assistance and five years vehicle health checks.
