Independent vehicle assessment organisation, Euro NCAP, has awarded the Hyundai Veloster the maximum five star safety result following the rigorous test process.
In the 'adult occupant' category, the Veloster received a rating of 96%, with maximum points in the side barrier test and side pole test. The Veloster obtained a 89% score in the 'child occupant' category. In the 'safety assist' category, the Veloster's electronic stability program and seatbelt reminder systems helped the car to its 71% score.
The Hyundai Veloster follows in the footsteps of the all new i40, becoming the sixth consecutive Hyundai model to achieve the maximum five star score from Euro NCAP.
Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe, commented, "The five-star rating for Veloster further demonstrates our commitment to the highest levels of safety for Hyundai customers. Veloster is attracting a new audience to the Hyundai brand, combining practicality and 'fluidic' design in a unique 1+2 door package.
