The new generation Hyundai i20 will go on sale priced from £10,695 when it arrives at dealerships in January 2015.
The i20 is available in six trim levels, ‘S’, ‘S Air’, ‘S Blue’, ‘SE’, ‘Premium’ and ‘Premium SE’.
The entry level ‘S’ is equipped with electric front windows, remote central locking, tinted windows and RDS radio with USB. The ‘S Air’ adds air conditioning to the spec whilst the ‘S Blue’ gains Intelligent Stop and Go (ISG) and low rolling resistance tyres. The Hyundai i20 S and i20 S Air are powered by a petrol 1.2-litre 75PS ‘Kappa’ engine,� the S Blue is powered by a 1.1-litre CRDi 75PS diesel engine.
The ‘SE’ which is set to be the best seller adds on the specs above with equipment such as 16” alloy wheels, voice activated Bluetooth, Cruise Control with speed limiter, front fog lights, Lane Departure Warning System, rear electric windows and reversing sensors. There is a choice of 1.2-litre 84PS or 1.4-litre 100PS petrol engines or if you prefer diesel there is a 1.1-litre 75PS or 1.4-litre 90PS units.
The ‘Premium’ adds premium equipment such as Smartphone Docking Station, automatic dimming rear view mirror, automatic headlights and wipers, Climate control, cornering lights, LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights, projection headlamps and privacy glass.
The top of the range Hyundai i20 is the ‘Premium SE’ edition which comes with front parking sensors, heated front seats and steering wheel and opening panoramic glass sunroof.
Both of the premium models can be powered by a choice of two petrol engines, either the 1.2-litre 84PS or 1.4-litre 100PS unit or if you can opt for a 1.4-litre 90PS diesel.
