Honda Motor Co. Ltd announced today that a prototype of the Acura RL, which is scheduled to undergo a full-model change this autumn, will be exhibited at the New York International Motor Show. (7-16 April)
The Acura RL Prototype will be equipped with the world’s first Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system which was developed by Honda. The new Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system provides cornering performance that responds faithfully to driver input and offers outstanding vehicle stability.
The Acura RL is better known in Japan and Europe as the Honda Legend and the new model will retain separate branding for these markets.
European sales will commence late 2005. Pricing and specification details will be announced nearer the model’s launch time.
