Honda Approved Used Car Weekend 23-24th April

On the back of a record new car sales month Honda dealerships are preparing for a busy weekend of selling used cars that were part exchanged in March. The campaign is being promoted at a national and regional level to maximise awareness amongst the car buying public.

"Managing our used car park is an essential part of our business," explains Phil Crossman, Head of Sales Operations. "This initiative, backed by Honda (UK) is designed to help dealers reduce used car stock levels and keep the sales momentum going into the second quarter. We take a very keen interest in our used car values which are a key factor in keeping cost of ownership low. This, in turn drives up customer satisfaction."

If customer surveys are anything to go by, the participating Honda dealerships should be rushed off their feet this weekend. Not only has Honda secured an historic 1st, 2nd and 3rd position (with S2000, Jazz and Accord respectively) in the Auto Express Driver Power Survey but it has also just moved up to 3rd position in the coveted J.D. Power Survey. Jazz took the top accolade as the highest ranked model in the industry.

"We're on a roll at the moment," explains Simon Thompson, Honda's Head of Marketing, "Our model line up competes with the premium brands in terms of product, the quality brands in terms of price and the mass market brands in terms of cost of ownership. That gives the customer a win, win, win and as we all know, customers tend to vote with their feet. Their feedback through these recent surveys rubber stamps their approval."

All approved Used Hondas come with provenance checks (finance and history), 30 day exchange programme, full Honda care assistance (roadside recovery and care) and the balance of the 3-year 90,000 mile warranty.
