Honda has announced competitive new pricing for its new Jazz, to appeal to the increasing number of cost conscious motorists, with value for money magnified by the car’s generous specification.
For those customers considering downsizing from the sector above, the Honda Jazz offers many features of a bigger car (load space, driving feel and high-spec equipment), but with the great fuel economy, low emissions and more affordable running costs of a small one.
The entry-level 1.2-litre S is available from £9,990 (OTR), but it is the SE grade, including air conditioning and 15-inch alloy wheels and priced from £10,990 (OTR), that’s expected to be most popular of the 1.2-litre variants.
Of the 1.4-litre models, Honda will sell most of ES grade, accounting for 25 per cent of the total mix. Priced from £11,490 (OTR) it includes 15-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, Double-Trunk boot, refrigerated glovebox and VSA. Meanwhile, the premium-spec 1.4 EX with additional 16-inch alloys, auto lights and wipers, cruise control, climate control and panoramic sunroof is priced at £12,790 (OTR).
Honda’s i-SHIFT automatic manual transmission costs £800 and when paired with the 1.4-litre ES the cost is £12,290 (OTR), while the 1.4-litre EX i-SHIFT is priced at £13,590 (OTR).
"Building a successor to the highly-popular Jazz was always going to be a challenge, but the new car raises the bar yet again,” says Tom Gardner, Head of Marketing for Honda (UK). "With more space, more kit, great fuel economy and low running costs, value for money is the jewel in the crown for the new Jazz and so it will appeal to its traditional customer base as well as those looking to downsize from the sector above.”
Manual versions of Honda Jazz go on sale in the UK in October, 2008, with the i-SHIFT on sale in January 2009.
