Celebrity mums Linda Barker and Alice Beer, and car manufacturer Honda are joining forces to launch the Yummy Mummy Campaign for CLIC Sargent, a charity set up to care for children with cancer and their families.
Honda dealers will donate £5 to this worthy cause for every Yummy Mummy who comes into their dealership and test drives an FR-V - 6 seater family recreational vehicle. One lucky participant will also win one of these funky models worth around £15,000.
TV presenters Alice Beer and Linda Barker used the opportunity to meet some families who have benefited from this charity to launch the scheme with a picnic in Battersea Park.
National Yummy Mummy week runs from 16 to 25 September. Mummies are encouraged to organise events to help raise money for the scheme by organising events with their friends.
Mother of two year old twins Alice Beer says: "Yummy Mummy Week gives people the perfect opportunity to get together and celebrate life, laughs and being a mother, whilst raising money to help families who have a child with cancer. It’s an easy way to raise money for such a worthwhile cause and enables mothers to have some fun at the same time!"
Merchandise and action packs are also available through contacting CLIC Sargent’s website www.clicsargent.org.uk/yummymummy
The £5 Test Drive campaign starts from the weekend of Saturday 30 July till end September at participating Honda dealerships.
