You can now place your order for the forthcoming Honda Civic Type R which is due to be launched in the summer of next year.
To place your order simply visit your local Honda dealer with a cheque for the £3,000 deposit, to ensure your place in queue, demand will be high so the sooner the better.
Although specifications and even the engine has to be officially confirmed, it will feature the new '+R' button, which will re-map the responsiveness of the engine and sharpen the dampers and steering.
Unofficially the front-wheel-drive Type R is set to be powered by a 2.0-litre i-VTEC turbocharged engine with a power output in excess of 280 bhp. There is no doubt that Honda are aiming for the new Type R to set the lap time at Nurburgring for a front wheel drive car, if it does then it is back to the drawing board for the competition.
We would expect the Civic Type R is be priced around £30,000, which may or not be suggested by the £3,000 (10 per cent?) deposit.
