Nine Express Newspapers’ employees took delivery of petrol electric Honda Civics this month, as part of the group’s new car ownership programme.
Representatives from The Daily and Sunday Express, Daily Star and OK magazine have all signed up to enjoy the benefits of low tax company car motoring - as well as a 100% discount from the London congestion charge. The deal was secured by Lombard - one of the UK’s leading fleet solutions businesses - and the cars were sourced through Honda’s flagship West London dealership, Chiswick Honda.
As part of the new programme, contract hire packages are being offered to Express Newspapers’ employees. The deal has been designed to meet both the environmental and cost objectives of the business - and at the same time continue to provide employees with desirable, versatile and high quality company cars.
Guy Small, the Lombard Business Development Manager who led the deal said, "We’re delighted to be working with Express Newspapers on such an innovative and attractive programme which harnesses new technology to ensure that the business achieves its environmental objectives within the London conurbation."
Maria Bache, HR manager for Express Newspapers added: "The purchase of the Civic IMAs makes financial sense particularly in terms of congestion charging, and also offers our staff an eco friendly and stylish way to travel."
