A new Ford Transit ad campaign hits the streets this week, borne out of feedback from van customers across the UK who have told Ford that vehicle security is at the top of their agenda.
"Loaded with tools or goods to be delivered, a Ford Transit on the road could easily be worth more than any flash sports car. Van buyers have told us that security is a prime concern and we are proud that the commercial vehicle industry has consistently recognised Transit as a class-leader for security," said Steve Parker, commercial vehicles director, Ford of Britain.
Ford Transit has a unique lock-in-latch system which makes it extremely difficult for thieves to gain entry. Remote keyless entry is also a bonus for delivery drivers who have to leave their vehicles unattended from time to time.
In its trophy cabinet for security, Ford Transit has: What Van? 2002 Best Security, Panel Van and British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) light commercial vehicle Security Award 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001.
The campaign created will feature poster sites, radio and national press advertising.
