Ford is helping with the shopping for Tesco’s on-line customers with a fleet of Transits.
The 70 Ford Transit 350 long wheelbase vans are being fitted out with three compartments – ambient, chilled and frozen and will be used exclusively for Tesco.com , the firm’s online home shopping service delivering groceries around the country.
Britain’s best-selling commercial vehicle will join 200 Ford Transits that Tesco.com took delivery of in 2001.
"Tesco and Transit are household names which represent quality and dependability. Transit will keep customers moving and get the job done for thousands of shoppers," said Steve Parker, director of commercial vehicles, Ford of Britain.
