The new Ford Ranger will be the partner for SAS World Record Breaker Peter Bray, who is planning an amazing challenge this summer, to circumnavigate Newfoundland by Kayak.
Peter’s name is now synonymous with success and his World Record Breaking achievement in crossing the Atlantic by Kayak single-handedly and unsupported, is testimony to the essence of the man and his will to win – he believes in himself and failure is just not an option.
"A dynamic approach to vehicle design and the Ford driving quality is exactly what I was looking for and so the loan of a Ranger is ideal for this challenge. The first challenge has already been met - getting a 17-foot kayak on to the vehicle to transport it safely and securely. Working with Ford, Truckman and Thule, this has been achieved," said Peter.
"When Peter needs to traverse water and go off road, he will not find a better vehicle than the new Ranger. The new model has been improved in several key areas including braking performance," said Steve Parker, commercial vehicles director, Ford of Britain.
