Ford and Walkers crisps have teamed up in a television commercial to advertise a new instant win promotion where 150 brand new Ford cars are up for grabs in lucky packets of Walkers Crisps.
People will have the chance to win one of 140 Ford Focus’ or one of 10 Ford StreetKa’s plus over 17 million free packets of Walkers Crisps. The famous blue sachets will be randomly inserted into bags of Walkers Crisps and Walkers Max.
'This is the first time Walkers have given people the chance to win a new car and we are delighted to be working together with them to make 150 people very happy!' commented Malcolm Fryer, retail marketing manager.
Former England cricket captain, David Gower, is to star in the ad alongside Sir Bobby Robson, Terry Venables and Gary Lineker. It is set in the South Pole where Gary and his pal, David, are trying to survive the freezing temperatures. All they have left to eat is a packet of Walkers crisps!
Lineker has a big battle with his conscience as Venables, playing the devil, urges a him to satisfy his hunger and eat the last packet without sharing it with his long-suffering pal whilst Sir Bobby, appearing once again as an angel, encourages Gary to share.
David wakes to find nothing left but a blue sachet. He has the last laugh as he finds himself driving into the sunset in a brand new Ford Focus leaving a freezing Gary behind!
